In the Novosibirsk region, the PepsiCo company has built a warehouse of raw materials as part of a project to build a plant for the production of salty snacks in Novosibirsk. Investments in the warehouse complex totaled USD 30 million.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Novosibirsk Region Government, PepsiCo and the Agency for Investment Development of the Novosibirsk Region. The partnership’s top priority is creation of conditions for the closed-loop economy and development of a waste disposal and recycling infrastructure in the region.
The Novosibirsk-based Coca-Cola factory HBC Russia increased its output by 16.9% to 242 m liters of beverages for the full year 2020, the company reports. Last year saw the manufacturing of more than 2.3 bn liters of beverages across all ten factories of the company.
Japanese company Daikin Industries, which operates in the market of air conditioning systems, has invested in the world's largest manufacturer of graphene nanotubes - the Russian company OCSiAl. This is reported by Rusnano, which investment portfolio includes OCSiAl. The amount of investment is not mentioned in the report, however it is said that the company was valued at USD 2 billion.
Nestle Purina PetCare (part of the Nestle S.A. Group) is going to create 250 jobs at the new pet food production plant. In September 2020, the company announced plans to build a pet food plant near Novosibirsk.
French manufacturer of building materials Saint-Gobain communicated its decision to build a new manufacturing plant for thermal insulation materials based on basalt in Siberia with a capacity of 50 kmtpa of finished products. Investment stands at RUB 3 bn. The decision to broaden the geography of its presence conforms to the growth strategy, the company’s website reports. The commissioning is scheduled for 2023.
