Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Vladimir Panov, Head of Nizhny Novgorod, and Boris Shlom, Director General of National Cable Ways, signed an agreement on cooperation in the framework of projects for the construction of two lines of the cable ways. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Investment Forum in Sochi, the Government of Nizhny Novgorod reported to REGNUM.
Governor Gleb Nikitin and representatives of a Chinese state corporation have discussed a large investment project. The implementation of the project for a deep wood processing enterprise to be built in the Balakhninsky district is expected to create about 400 jobs. The investment is estimated at approximately RUB12 billion.

The Dannish Vestas launched the first local production of wind farm equipment in Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod Region investing EUR 5 mln in the project. Wind turbine nacelles will be assembled at the Liebherr site in Dzerzhinsk, and in 2019, production of towers and blades will be launched in the Rostov and Ulyanovsk Regions with the participation of the Wind Energy Development Fund. By 2024, wind farms with the total capacity of 3.35 GW will be established in several regions of the country.
