Greenlace GmbH (Germany) is looking into a possibility of growing and processing flax in the Kaliningrad Region. Representatives of Greenlace GmbH management and Natalia Shevtsova, the minister of agriculture of the region, discussed the prospects of establishing a flax production cluster at the Green Week agricultural forum in Berlin, as reported on Tuesday by the press center of the regional government.
An international fur corporation is transferring its production of winter clothes and footwear from China to the Kaliningrad Region. One of the reasons is the trade conflict between China and the United States, as the holding exports much to America. In addition, the investor was attracted by the benefits the Kaliningrad Special Economic Zone offers.
The authorities of the Kaliningrad region have agreed to cooperate in the introduction of advanced technologies in the field of increasing labor productivity and the efficient use of natural resources with ABB (Switzerland). Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Sibinveststroy and Urbaser have reached an agreement on construction of a waste processing facility in the Kaliningrad Region. According to the press release from RDIF, 2.9 billion rubles of joint investments will be used in the project.
Avtotor Holding plans to build a new plant for the production of cars of the BMW or Hyundai and Kia brands. The plant capacity will be 50 thousand cars per year. The plant will be located in the Kaliningrad region, next to the existing production site of the holding.
