The Russian Direct Investments Fund (RDIF) and the Veolia group of companies, French utility operator, have agreed on the conditions for the establishment of a joint venture to invest in public utilities in Russia. As reported in the press release of RDIF, the investment in the Tomskvodokanal, which manages the water and sewerage infrastructure of Tomsk, will be first joint project.

French multinational company Veolia Environnement will buy a part of the assets of Rosvodokanal, one of the largest private Russian providers of centralized water supply and wastewater disposal utility services. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, Andrey Chibis.
