Dutch manufacturer Royal Philips localized the production of Ingenia MRI scanners with a field strength of 1.5 T at the production site of Amico Group of Companies CJSC Rentgenprom in the Moscow region. The production capacity will be 50 units a year with an option of doubling the output, the expected investments in the project for the next five years are estimated at USD 5 million.

Philips, in partnership with the Russian AMICO Group is preparing to launch the production of Philips Ingenia 1.5T magnetic resonance CT-scanners at the JSC Rentgenprom facility in the Istrinsky District of the Moscow Region.

Dutch company Philips and the Moscow Region government have signed an agreement on cooperation. The firm intends to place a plant to manufacture medical diagnostic equipment in Istra.

The first ultrasound machines are planned to be produced in July while first tomographers are expected by the end of 2017.
