ChemChina (China National Chemical Corp.)

At the third Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), the Eastern Petrochemical Company (EPCC) and the Far East Development Corporation signed an agreement on the EPCC activities in the Neftekhimichesky Territory of Priority Development (TPD), as reported by the Rosneft’s press service.

The EPCC project

Rosneft, in collaboration with the Chinese ChemChina, plans to build a petrochemical complex in the Far East. Construction is planned in three phases. The first and the second phases, according to Aleksandr Novak, the Head of the Russian Ministry of Energy, must be put into operation by 2022. We are talking about oil refineries with a production capacity of up to 12.5 mln tons of crude oil, and petrochemical facilities for 3.4 mln tons of hydrocarbon feedstock per year.

The investments in both phases will amount to 796 BLN rubles.

EuroChem, the world leading manufacturer of mineral fertilizers, and ChemChina that is the largest chemical company of China have agreed on a potential partnership. It is about the launch of a joint Russia-based production line for three products, which are not currently produced in this country.

The project is planned to be implemented at EvroKhim owned Novomoskovskiy Azot plant in the Tula Region. The preliminary cost of the project is around $500 million.

Eurochem, one of Russia's largest producers of mineral fertilizers, and the China National Chemical Corporation, Chem China are working out a joint project in the Tula Region for the production of chemical fertilizers, as Alexey Dyumin, Governor of the Region, explained to reporters in Beijing.
