Uralchimplast-Hüttenes Albertus will receive RUB 250 mn from the Single-Industry Town Development Fund (VEB.RF Group) to set up production of chemical products for the foundry industry. The funds raised for the project by 2022 will exceed RUB 3 bn.

A special investment contract worth more than 1 billion rubles for the implementation of a 7-year project on the organization of chemical products manufacture for the foundry industry was signed in the Sverdlovsk Region. The Austrian-German company Uralchimplast-Huttenes Albertus will launch production of synthetic binders for complex alloy castings in Nizhny Tagil by 2020. The project value is estimated at more than 1.1 billion rubles, and the payback period is 6 years. This will be the first production of such kind in Russia, which will reduce the level of imported materials in the domestic market from 35% to 23%. Experts believe that with the full capacity the company will cover the need for abroad procurement.

Production of resins for foundry industry will be launched in the territory of Tagil Chemical Park by a joint venture of Uralkhimplast and German Huttenes-Albertus. This was announced during the business breakfast on November 9, Wednesday, by Igor Gerdt, Deputy Director General of Tagil Chemical Park. The production capacity will be 35 thousand tons per year. As a representative of the chemical park’s managing company explained to Rupec, the launch is expected in 2018. Currently design and survey works are being conducted. He reminded that Uralkhimplast established the joint venture Uralkhimplast –Hüttenes-Albertus (UCP-HA) in January 2013 to produce products for foundry industry.
