TotalEnergies, France, buys a 10% stake in Novatek’s LNG transshipment business. The parties signed the purchase and sale agreement at the SPIEF, the Russian company said in its statement.

French Total will invest in the construction of Novatek's LNG transshipment terminals in Murmansk and Kamchatka to gain 10%-stakes in both projects, said Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of Total, to reporters.

Russian company NOVATEK and Total, a French concert, signed a contract for the sale of a 10% share in the Arctic SPG project, reported NOVATEK. The conditions for Total’s entry into the project include payment of 10% of the participation and financing share through capital contributions.

Last week French Total increased its share in Novatek to 19.4%, today told its head Patrick Pouyanné. He is quoted by Interfax. This is the limit level under the agreement that was concluded between the shareholders of Novatek in 2011.

On October 17, the agreement for cooperation in implementation of the investment project on the construction of the Total Vostok plant for production, storage and delivery of automobile oils, lubricants and related materials in the territory of the Vorsino industrial park in the Kaluga Region was signed. The launch is scheduled for 2018. The document was signed by Governor of the Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov and Director General of Total Vostok Fabien Voisin.

Total Vostok is a subsidiary of Total in Russia. The production capacity of the plant with the total investment amount of $50 mln will be 40 thousand tons per year; it may increase to 75 thousand tons following the sales volume growth. 50 new jobs will be created.
