Representatives of the Japanese Kawasaki Heavy Industries, LTD arrived to Magadan to find a site for future construction of a hydrogen plant, the regional government informed on Tuesday.

A cooperation agreement in the field of hydrogen energy with the Japanese Kawasaki company was concluded by the government of the Magadan Region and PJSC RudHydro at the Easter Economic Forum – 2017.

Japanese Kawasaki is considering construction of a hydrogen plant in Magadan, with 500 MW capacity. Sergey Tolstoguzov, Director General of RAO ES of East, said so at the IV International Conference on Renewable Energy.
