German Deutsches Milchkontor GmbH (DMK) intends to invest more than 130 million rubles for modernizing a cheese production plant in the Voronezh region to increase the plant's capacity to 15,500 tons of products per year. This was announced on Thursday by the press service of the regional government following the meeting between Aleksey Gordeyev, governor, and the German company delegation.

The largest German producer of dairy products DMK Deutsches Milchkontor, that acquired Bobrovsky Cheese Factory in the Voronezh region in 2016, intends to triple its capacity. The investor will put up more than 500 million rubles to increase the processing of raw materials from 200 to 600 tons per day and expand the cheese line. Experts predict a tough competition with regard to the enterprise’s products, but note a “great potential” of DMK.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has allowed DMK Deutsches Milchkontor to acquire cheese-making production in Russia. Thus, the largest dairy company in Germany will be able to control the activities of a number of Russian manufacturers and suppliers of cheese.
