A biowaste recycling plant will be established in the Kaliningrad Region. This biowaste recycling project will be implemented by the Pravdino Pork Production Company, as well as a group of investors from Thailand and Denmark. The construction of the plant will cost half a billion rubles. The facility is scheduled to be launched by the end of next year, and in 2019 it will reach its design capacity – up to 40 tons of agricultural production waste per day. The result of recycling will be meat-and-bone meal for mixed fodder, and inedible fat.

A Danish investor plans to build a full-cycle pig farm for six thousand breeding pigs, the correspondent of Podmoskovye Segodnya reports.

“We are investing RUR 3.7 bln in the construction of a pig farm in Serebryanye Prudy. We chose this place because our co-investor already has a farm here and we hope to implement the project with its support. In the municipal area we chose five thousand hectares for the construction of our project, this place perfectly suits us,” the Chief Executive Officer of the investor company MC RBPI Group said.

A Norwegian investor started constructing its second pig farm for 180 thousand beasts in the Nizhniy Novgorod Region to become one of the largest in the Russian Federation. The region is expected to reach pork self-sufficiency after the farm reaches its design capacity.

"Construction of the largest pig farm in Russia for 180 thousand pigs started in Klyuchishchi Village of the Bolshemurashkinsky Distirct in the Nizhniy Novgorod Region. Total investments into the project stand at RUB 3 bn," according to the regional government's press service.

The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region Valery Shantsev signed an agreement of cooperation between the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Government and Russian Baltic Pork Invest company in the Kremlin on 1 February 2016. The agreement calls for the development of a new pig farm in the region with a total value of 3 billion roubles.

This will be Russian Baltic Port Invest’s second pig farm in Nizhny Novgorod Region. The company previously invested around 1.8 billion roubles in the construction of another farm in the Vadsky Area of the region. It is now in operation with 165 staff.
