Toyota Tsusho Rus, a Russian subsidiary of the trading and investment arm of Toyota, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, has decided to take up Russian waste incineration. The company is currently considering the opportunity of building a waste incinerating plant in the Moscow region, with roughly half the waste to be converted to thermal and electric energy, senior manager of the chemical materials and electronics department at Toyota Tsusho Rus Oleg Ustinov told Izvestia.

“We are currently at a data collection stage. Our idea is to implement the Japanese waste treatment model as far as practicable in Moscow and the Moscow region, that is, to collect categorized garbage. Only in this case it could be taken to the plant for further treatment, Ustinov added.”
