Gearspect Group a.s.

The Czech company GearspectGroupa.s. has approached JSC Ural Works of Civil Aviation about producing a type of grinding machine in Yekaterinburg that has never been released on the Russian market, according to Ural Works of Civil Aviation Commercial Director Valery Trushkin.

“Gearspect Group has approached us to discuss the possibility of producing a type of grinding machine that has never been seen in Russia before. The machines are designed for the precision grinding of gears with straight and slanting teeth. We are interested in such a product, as it can be used to repair gearboxes for Mi-8, Mi-24 and Mi-35 helicopters, which is our core business. Over the coming weeks, we will assess the offer in full and make the appropriate decision,” Trushkin said, stressing that “currently, equipment of this kind is only manufactured abroad.”

The proposal was announced during a visit by a Czech delegation headed by Plzeň Region Governor Václav Šlajs.
