Kolos-Express OOO plant producing foods from grains was opened in Domodedovo on Wednesday with the total investments in its construction amounting to 40 million euros, says the press service of the Minister of Investments and Innovations of the Moscow Region.

“We opened a food plant (…) with the total surface area of 10 thousand square meters and a capacity of 25 thousand tons of finished products annually. Investments in construction have totaled 40 million euros and 70 new jobs have been created”, reads the message of Moscow Region Acting Minister for Investments and Innovations Vadim Khromov.

The press service specifies that the plant will produce and prepackage different types of cereals and porridge with fruit. The company has modern equipment and a multilevel system of quality control and raw materials treatment.

The agency emphasizes that Kolos-Express OOO is incorporated in Finnish corporation Myllyn Paras. The company has been operating in Domodedovo since 2004 and prepackaged grain products on a leased site before.

“The food industry is one of the key economic industries of the Moscow area and we support every project in this region. It is a pleasure to hear that the Finnish company both operates in Domodedovo and has built its own plant here”, says Denis Butsaev, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government.
