In the Azov District (Rostov Region), the Air Products’ plant started its operation and shipping liquefied and balloon gases, as the Company reported. “Until now, Air Products has specialized in outsourcing the production of industrial gases,” the statement cites Ivo Bols, the Air Products’ President in Europe and Africa. “The plant in the Rostov Region is the first Company’s enterprise in Russia specializing in the production of a full range of industrial gases and mixtures.”

Air Products of the US has completed construction of its industrial gas plant in the Rostov Region for RUB 1.5 bn. The regional Investment Development Agency informs of it. The project in the Rostov Region is the largest investment into Russia by Air Products. The enterprise is scheduled for startup in the near future.

U.S. corporation Air Products is planning on opening a factory for the production of industrial gases in the Azov District this winter, according to a press release by the Investment Promotion Agency of Rostov Region. The factory will be located in the Novoaleksandrovsky Industrial Park and is the company’s largest investment to date in Russia, amounting to 1.1 billion (around $16 million). The first stone was laid in the summer of 2014. Fifty jobs will be created as a result of the project. Recruitment is already under way. The plant will produce over 200 tonnes of liquefied oxygen, gaseous oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and edible and welding gas mixtures per day. The official opening is planned for early 2016.
