Kraft Heinz launched a new mash production line at Ivanovo Baby Food Works. Upon inauguration of the line, the works' output will increase by more than 30%, according to the today's statement by the PR service of the Regional Government.

According to the PR service, total investments into the upgrade of the line were RUB 15 mm with additional RUB 10 mm to be invested into the project in the future.

One of the world’s largest food manufacturers, Kraft Heinz, expects to increase its share of the Russian baby foods market with its purchase of the Ivanovo Baby Food Plant.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) announced today that it had approved H. J. Heinz Global Holding’s application to purchase a 100% share in the Ivanovo Baby Food Plant. FAS representatives confirmed that H. J. Heinz Global Holding is part of Kraft Heinz.

The Ivanovo Baby Food Plant manufactures baby food under the Umnitsa brand name, including porridge, puree, juices, desserts and dairy products. It was also contracted to produce food for Heinz. An AlfaStrakhovanie press release from 4 March 2015 said as much: at the time, the company insured the quality of it goods for $1 million. “The company exports goods to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Mongolia and Turkmenistan.”

Heinz already owns and runs a factory for the production of baby porridge – Heinz Georgievsk, which is located in Georgievsk in the Stavropol Region.
