Germany’s GGT GmbH, a member of the largest waste and garbage recycling plants group ASA, may build a garbage recycling plant with capacity of 100,000 tons per year in Magadan, according to MagadanMedia. Investment in the project is planned at RUB 378 million. The plant will be built on the core of an existing solid waste landfill with total area of 2.9 hectares.

“GGT GmbH was interested in covering up to 100 percent of the project to organize waste and garbage recycling. The organization is also willing to provide services for the research, design, management and construction of facilities using the latest and most effective technologies,” Magadan First Deputy Mayor Yuri Grishman said.

A land plot has already been prepared for the project’s implementation. The maximum payback period is five years.
