Trammo, Inc.

On 23 June 2015, Trammo AG Group and KuibyshevAzot signed an agreement on the establishment of Granifert LLC, a joint venture for the production of granular ammonium sulphate in Tolyatti (Samara Region, Russian Federation).

The sides will each have a 50% stake in the company’s charter capital, with production being based at KuibyshevAzot’s industrial facilities. Projected output is 140,000 tonnes per year. More than 700 million roubles (around $12.5 million) will be invested into the venture, which will be set up over the course of 2015–2017.

KuibyshevAzot is the largest producer of ammonium sulphate in Russia and Eastern Europe, with an output of 450,000 tonnes in 2014, including 90,000 tonnes of granular ammonium sulphate. The company started production of granular ammonium sulphate in 2012, becoming the first Russian enterprise to offer the fertiliser on the market, which is completely consistent with the requirements of modern agricultural technologies. The main advantages of granular ammonium sulphate are its improved physical and mechanical (the increased strength of the granules and its friability) and agrochemical properties (the uniformity of placement and its possible use in mixed fertilisers). The fertiliser is in high demand, so the company is planning on increasing its production.
