A virtual amusement park, similar to the Futuroscope park in France, will be constructed in Tatarstan next to the smart city Innopolis. Investments will total about 20 billion RUB. Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of Tatarstan, informed TASS about the plans today.

“The project, which entails over 20 billion RUB in investments, is currently in the concept development phase. The next step will be design. The park will be similar to the French Futuroscope, and we will be providing support for the project,” Ivanov said.

According to the information provided by the State Committee on Tourism of Tatarstan, the analogue to the French Futuroscope park will be located across an area of about 50-70 hectares. The park is expected to operate year round, with an average capacity of 5,600 people per day.

The French park Futuroscope, located north of Poitiers, was opened in 1987 and is located across an area of 110 ha. The park is based on multimedia technology and the world of fantasy, and offers visitors over 25 rides that are based on audio-visual perception: thanks to multimedia technology, the park’s virtual world turns into reality for visitors. The park is frequented by fans of fantasy films, books and computer games.
