BEM Holding

The Turkish BEM Holding producing polypropylene bags for food industry intends to double its production. Thus the TASS reporter was informed today by the Sigem Kurtul, director.

As Minister of economic development and trade of Adygea Makhmud Tlekhas told earlier, the initial capacity of the plant was to be 60 mln bags per annum, the total investment volume was to be 3.4 bln rubles.

In the city of Maikop, the Bemholding Company delivered the first batch of equipment to its new plant and began producing polypropylene bags. About 500 million rubles has already been invested into this production facility, with total investments planned at a level of 3.4 billion rubles. By the end of the year, the investor plans to achieve full capacity at the plant, producing up to 60 million bags per year. Raw materials will be purchased in Russia.

Today the staff consists of 70 employees, but by the end of the year, it can be augmented to 400 employees, according to plan.

Bemholding – is a subsidiary of the large Turkish company Fibateks, which specializes in the manufacturing of polypropylene bags, popular for packaging a wide variety of goods.
