Wacker Neuson SE

Wacker Neuson – one of the world leaders in construction machinery and compact machine manufacturing that was established over 160 years ago – plans to build a plant and a technical center in the Moscow Region.

Wacker Neuson is headquartered in Munich and has over 40 branches as well as 1,200 sales offices and service centers worldwide. The company’s production plants, which manufacture equipment for concreting and vibrocompaction, jackhammers and generators, compact loaders and excavators, are located in Germany, Serbia, Austria, USA and the Philippines. In the near future, Russia will be added to the list of production plant locations. The new plant is to be constructed in the Pikino village of the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow Region. Aside from manufacturing areas, the plant will also house warehouses, offices, salesrooms and a service center. The head Russian office will be located in Pikino.

The investment contract signed by the authorities of the Solnechnogorsk district includes articles that specify the registration of the new enterprise in its location. Understandably, this is connected with tax deductions of the regional budget.

Buildlines reports that capital investments in the project amount to about half a billion rubles. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2016. According to forecasts, the project’s social contribution to the economy is the creation of 50 new jobs.
