Monsanto Company

Monsanto believes that Russian agriculture is among the fastest growing in the world. In 2014, the company launched a project to localize the production of corn seeds in Russia, using Russian-made production facilities and equipment, as well as a Russian workforce. The pilot site for the project is located in the Pavlovsk District in Voronezh Region.

In 2015, Monsanto collected 192 tonnes of hybrid seeds from the traditional DK 315 selection on 50 hectares of land. This is the best yield recorded for the DK 315 hybrid.

Next year, the company will produce 15,000 seed units, gradually increasing the volume of high-quality Russian-produced hybrid seeds in its Russian portfolio.
