Sika intends to localize a production facility for manufacturing innovative construction chemicals in the territory of Tatarstan. Stage-by-stage deployment of several production facilities is scheduled. The first project will be launched in the first quarter of 2019 in the Khimgrad industrial park in Kazan. The second stage of development will be considerably wider. Implementation start is scheduled for 2021. This will be preceded by the project elaboration and the search for suitable territory.
Siemens opened a special Siemens PLM Software competence center on the premises of the German-Russian New Technologies Institute of KNRTU-KAI (a PLM laboratory). The opening ceremony was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, Dietrich Meller, President of Siemens in Russia, and Albert Gilmutdinov, rector of KNRTU-KAI
The first stone was put into the foundation of a washing machine plant in Naberezhnye Chelny which is the first phase of implementation of the Haier industrial park in Russia. The area of the enterprise is expected to be 29,000 sq.m. The cost of the plant amounts to RUB 3,090 mln. It will start operation in 2019. The washing machines are expected to be supplied from Naberezhnye Chelny not only to Russia but also to Europe and the CIS countries.
3M-Volga (a resident company of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ)) can localize the production of polymer processing additives in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2019-2020. Petr Korotkov, 3M’s Government Relations Advisor for Russia and the CIS, announced this at the meeting of the Board of Directors of Tatneftekhiminvest holding, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
A special investment contract was signed today by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny, and Sergey Kogogin, Director General of PJSC KAMAZ within the framework of the XXII Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The document is aimed at development of the model line-up of KAMAZ and Mercedes-Benz vehicles as well as at modernization of the facilities used by PJSC KAMAZ and DK RUS LLC jointly with Daimler AG.
Under the contract, a high-tech plant for welding and painting of cab frames is to be constructed. The investments will amount to RUB 46.4 bln, over 1200 jobs will be created.
A Grodan plant for substrate production of the Rockwool company will open in the Alabuga SEZ in October, 2018. This was reported by the press-office of the SEZ. Rockwool invested about RUB 500 mln in the project.
