Swiss concern Omya is implementing an investment project in the Plesetsk area of the Arkhangelsk Region to create a mining plant with a production capacity of 500 thousand tons of gravel per year.
In accordance with the development strategy of Arkhangelsk PPM till 2030, the pulp and paper mill will start global modernization of cellulose production in 2018. The key step will be construction of a new department to produce bleached softwood sulfate highly demanded in the world market with the production capacity of 500,000 tons.

The holding is the Russian branch of the Italian WAMGROUP corporation, the world’s leader in development and production of equipment for work with bulk materials and dust filtering.

A new Russian-Chinese joint venture will produce CNC machines in Astrakhan. Today Director General of Machine Building Association DWT LLC Andrey Davydov told the journalists about it. At the first stage 30% of parts of the machines produced in Astrakhan will be of the Russian make and 70% of Chinese make. Later the share of local parts is expected to increase to 50%, then to 70%.
