Belaya Dacha group of companies, together with Lamb Weston Meijer international agricultural holding opened a factory for the production of French fries in Lipetsk. This is stated in the message received by RBC from the Russian McDonald's which will be the main buyer of the products of this enterprise.
The new potato processing plant will be the first site for the production of French fries in Russia. The volume of investments in the project amounted to about 8.7 billion rubles. The company has created 218 new jobs. It is planned that the plant will reach full capacity (processing 200 thousand tons of potatoes per year) by the end of 2019. The plant will completely cover the need for importing French fries to Russia, the Company notes.
