Investments in the livestock project in the Russian territory using Israeli technologies will amount to several billion dollars, as Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told journalists following the results of the mixed Russian-Israeli commission on trade and economic cooperation.
According to Mr. Dvorkovich, we are talking about dairy complexes with a total herd size of 100 thousand animals. “I think it’s a few billion dollars, 2 or 3 billion dollars for sure, at the first stage”, he said, speaking about investment in the project.
Today, the territories have been selected for the pilot project to create livestock complexes: the Voronezh and Tambov regions, the Republic of Tatarstan; possibly also the Smolensk and Ryazan regions. He added that the number of territories can be increased.
