Russian foods and food ingredients company Aston and transnational company Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) launched a joint venture for the production starch and syrups in the village of Ibred in the Ryazan Region. This was reported by the press service of Aston.

Aston Food and Food Ingredients JSC and transnational company Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) signed an agreement on establishing a joint venture for the production of starch and syrup on the territory of the Russian Federation. The transaction could be closed before the end of the second quarter of 2018, after receiving the approval of the Federal Antimonopoly Service. The value of the transaction has not been disclosed.

“Under the agreement, ADM will become a joint partner, purchasing 50% of the shares of the Starch and Syrup Division of Aston based in the Ryazan and Vladimir Regions,” reports Aston. Details of the agreement are not specified. It is also stated that the transaction under the agreement may be closed until the end of the second quarter of this year, after it is approved by the regulator.
