Rosseti and Enel, an Italian energy company, have started a project to build digital networks in the Pskov Region, reports the electric grid holding.
Enel Russia (the Enel group generating company in Russia) will invest 132 million euros until 2020 in the construction of a wind farm near Rostov-on-Don. Wind farm capacity will be 90,09 MW, told the press service of the Regional Investment Development Agency on Monday.
The Italian energy concern Enel and the Rosseti holding are implementing a pilot project on digitalization of the power grid in Russia in the Pskov Region. Francesco Starace, the head of Enel, said to TASS at the SPIEF that he hoped such cooperation with Rosseti would expand.
The Italian energy concern Enel holds talks with a number of Russian banks to raise funds for construction of wind parks in the Murmansk and Rostov Regions. The company expects to conclude the negotiations within a few months, said Francesco Starace, head of the company, in his interview to TASS during the SPIEF.
The 200+ MW wind farm will be newly launched in Murmansk Region by late 2021, according to the press function of Bellona Murmansk environmental organization citing the announcement of Carlo Palasciano, CEO of Enel Russia intending to build the wind farm in the Polar Region.
"The installed capacity of the wind farm to be commissioned in December 2021 near Teriberka of Murmansk Region is 201 MW" the announcement runs.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the Italian Enel signed an agreement on building charging stations for electric vehicles, and agreed upon rental of such cars, as reported by Kirill Dmitriev, the RDIF’s General Director.
In the Sverdlovsk region, a dry ash removal system has been commissioned at the coal-fired Reftinskaya power plant operated by Enel Russia. This major environmental project supported by foreign investors will help minimize the plant’s impact on the region’s environment, while making its waste a source for manufacturing construction materials. The total investment in the project amounted to some 12.5bn roubles.
The dry ash handling system introduced at the Reftinskaya power plant will prevent deforestation on considerable territories designated as ash disposal areas, lessen the plant’s impact on the atmosphere and water resources, in particular, it can significantly reduce water consumption used to remove ash and slag waste. Meanwhile, almost the entire ash waste can be used for industrial purposes: in manufacturing concrete and construction mixes, roadbuilding and brick manufacturing.
