Czech company Agrostroj Pelhřimov has confirmed its plans to build a factory for the production of agricultural trailers in the Bobrovsky Industrial Park in Voronezh Region. The total cost of the project is reported to be around 4 billion roubles. Construction is expected to last for three years, with roughly 200 new jobs being created.
At the same time, training programmes developed by the Czech company will be implemented.
Head of the Department for Development Strategy and Investment Policy of the Bobrovsky District Alexander Fokin explained to Kommersant that Agrostroj Pelhřimov is planning to carry out the project in a number of phases. The first phase involves investments of around 1.5 billion roubles in the construction of the factory and will be finished in 2016. This information was confirmed by Agrostroj Pelhřimov HR Director Zdenek Pavlovsky in an interview with Prague Telegraph.
Deputy Head of the Voronezh Region Administration for Economic Development Viktor Chechelev said: “This is Agrostroj Pelhřimov’s first project in Russia. The seven-hectare facility will produce agricultural equipment and components to serve the needs not only of the Voronezh Region, but of all the whole country. What is more, we have not ruled out the possibility of exporting the goods manufactured at the plant,”
“We chose the Voronezh Region because it is a centre of agricultural production. It also has a favourable geographic position – the plant will be located just a few kilometres from the main motorway connecting Moscow with Southern Russia,” Agrostroj Pelhřimov General Director Lubomír Stoklásek explained.
“We expect the structure of manufacturing and assembling units to be the same as it is in Pielgrzymów. In addition to agricultural equipment, we intend to produce spare parts for automobiles, lorries and buses, as well as equipment for refuse collection and street-cleaning vehicles at the factory,” Stoklásek added.
