Golden Mountain Co, Ltd

The relevant investment agreements were signed today by Ulyanovsk Region Governor Sergei Morozov during his visit to China.

The signing took place as part of the fourth Round Table meeting of the leaders of the Volga Federal District and the Upper, Middle and Lower Yangtze, which was held by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and State Councilor of the People's Republic of China Yang Jiechi.

The first is an investment agreement with Zhuming Agriculture Development for the construction of a tea packing centre in the Ulyanovsk region, while the second document gives the green light for Golden Mountain to start production and distribution of marble tiles.

The agreements were reached with the help of the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation and will be implemented in the region’s Special Economic Port Zone. The total amount of investments is 400 million roubles (around $6 million) split evenly between the two projects.

“These projects are interesting because they will localise production in the region using imported raw materials, rather than having the finished goods themselves brought in. We hope that the arrival of these companies, who will make full use of the logistical advantages of the Special Economic Zone, will serve to further partner relations with small businesses in China,” Ulyanovsk Region Governor Sergei Morozov said.
